The district of Büyükçekmece is located in the European part of Istanbul and is located parallel to the coast of the Sea of Marmara, allowing it to play a significant role in the development of Istanbul in general, because of its relatively large area compared to other areas. Büyükçekmece, is surrounded by Çatalca and Arnavutköy districts on the north, Esenyurt district on the east, Beylikdüzü district and Marmara Sea on the south and Silivri district on the west. Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Bridge: 

This bridge exists between the County and Mimar Sinan.This historical bridge is a unique piece which came to our day without damages.

Historically this bridge was important for the trade, it is on the path connecting Istanbul to the Europe and stands on the place connecting Buyukcekmece Lake to the Marmara Sea.

Sultan Süleyman Caravansary – Kurşunlu Inn:

 This caravansary is called ‘kurşunlu’ because it was originally covered with lead (lead means kurşun in Turkish). It is categorized as closed type caravansaries without an outdoors main hall.
